  • Spring into April: A Goods Guide

April has arrived, and with it the urge to venture outdoors. This month we're excited to share some of our favorite pieces and highlight our new yellow canvas colorway. The ultra-bright yellow is not only perfect for embracing the spring sunshine -- it will also guarantee that you stand out in a crowd. We’ve paired the yellow bags with our favorite black canvas and leather accessories for a sophisticated contrast. Our spring guide focuses on bringing your activities outside and on the go, whether you're looking to bring your pencils and brushes to the park or need a bag to walk around town while you shop.

    Day Pack - Yellow
The Day Pack is constructed from water resistant 20oz cotton canvas with natural leather shoulder straps that are fully adjustable and will shape to fit your body. Multiple pockets let you organize your small items so they are easily accessible. Fits most laptops for convenient transport to school, the cafe, or the office.

  • Goods Guide: Must-Haves for March

It’s officially Spring today, and we can feel hints of warmer weather and a tinge of longing that has us daydreaming about adventures ahead. We’ve assembled a collection of our current favorite pieces in soft hues of Olive and Grey to reflect our current mood -- and the shifting colors of the landscape outside our window.

    Log Tote:
Inspired by a classic firewood carrier, our Log Tote is also well-suited for beach excursions, barbecues, or stashing extra camping gear. Constructed from our sturdiest 24oz waxed cotton canvas and finished with a hefty pair of vegetable tanned leather carry handles, the Log Tote also boasts an interior accessory pocket for holding keys, a lighter, or other small items.

  • Winter Session x Heddels: The Natural Indigo Bank Bag

A few years ago, when we were still running Winter Session out of our apartment in Chicago, we opened a box from our zipper supplier and were surprised to find a mess of old brass Talon zippers. They weren’t what we had ordered (we thought we were getting a new batch of our standard YKKs), but they were beautiful. The cotton zipper tape was faded from what once might have been a deep teal, and the brass teeth and zipper pulls were in great condition. Though we couldn't use them on our standard products, we considered ourselves in luck and put them away for a rainy day -- or, it turns out, a particularly sunny one.

Fast forward three years and three states over, and here we were sitting in our shop with our friend David Shuck, managing editor of the denim-focused blog Heddels. The zippers were still stashed away under one of our work tables, and outside our shop windows the sun was shining brilliantly (as it does more often than not on Colorado's front range). David was telling us all about the project he wanted to do with us. It was a collaboration to kick off the new Heddels CO-OP product series: limited runs of exclusive products designed in tandem with likeminded brands.

  • A Guide to Good Vibes

Historically, people in many different cultures have carried herbs, coins, stones, and other small talismans around their neck for protection from negative energy, danger, or illness. A modern take on the traditional amulet pouch, our unisex Amulet necklaces can be worn alone or filled with a favorite treasure, token or anything you'd like to keep close to you.

    Zip-Top Tote:
Lightweight, streamlined and versatile, the Zip-Top Tote is made for casual and easy transport. Our signature interior accessory pocket helps to keep small items within reach, while a pop-up zipper panel keeps contents secure and allows for extra volume. Comes in four handsome colors (and two sizes) for daily carry or weekend travel.

  • Meet the Day Bag

As we continue to expand our collection of quality products, we are always looking to improve upon our classic designs and to satisfy the diverse needs of our customers. This is how the Day Bag came about: we wanted to make a bag that can conveniently carry daily work and travel necessities, but that also closes securely with a zipper.

  • Meet the Knife Roll

Over the past couple of years we’ve received more than a handful of requests for knife rolls, but we knew that a product this specific could not be designed alone. We needed to collaborate with an expert in the world of culinary tools -- so when Denver-based chef Jeff Osaka (of Osaka Ramen, the upcoming Sushi-Rama, and the late Twelve restaurant), approached us to do a collaboration, we jumped at the opportunity.

Our goal was to create an easily transportable case that united practical and professional functionality with the refined aesthetics and durable natural materials that we use in the rest of our products. After numerous design meetings and brainstorms, followed by a series of prototypes which were field tested by Chef Osaka himself, we are pleased to share the result of this collaboration: a limited-edition, chef-approved Knife Roll designed for professional chefs, outdoor cooking enthusiasts, or anyone looking to protect and transport a full set of knives and culinary accessories.

  • Goods Guide: Tools of the Trade

We know that having the right vessel for these tools is essential for creativity (not to mention productivity), so we'd like to share with you our guide to the best carryalls for the tools that mean the most to you.

  • Meet Our Collaborators: R.L. Linden

We feel lucky to be surrounded by some very inspiring people here in Denver, and our collaborations give us a chance to learn from them. Two of our favorites are Robin King and Lynn Till, the ladies behind R.L. Linden & Co. -- a line of outstanding eco-beauty products, scents, and teas. This brilliant duo has over 30 years of combined experience, and the proof is in the pudding, er, Rose Balm. Recently we had a chance to visit their studio, sip tea and chat with Lynn about wellness, their creative process, the joy of collaboration and more. We admire these ladies a whole lot!
