What’s your favorite thing about working here?
I love all the steps in the process of building a bag, BUT the atmosphere and community of my co-workers is the best I’ve ever experienced!

The good ol’ Garrison (it’s the first bag I learned how to make) and stitching wallets (it’s meditative).
Favorite tool:
Seam ripper; I make lots of mistakes
What’s an especially satisfying moment for you while working at WS?
Using all the parts of a hide with as little waste as possible
How did you come to discover Winter Session?
I met Winter Session through the small business community via Maura at RedCamper
What are your most memorable D.I.Y. project at WS?
A mini duffle for the handlebars of my motorbike and making planter hangers out of leather scraps
What WS bag/wallet/accessory do you carry?
Red waxed canvas Day Bag and black Double Wallet
What do you always carry in your bag, no matter what?
At least one extra pair of socks
What was on your task list today?
Prototyping hanging planters for our new home goods collection

Anything clever. I have at least one a day.
Secret talent outside of Winter Session:
Traveling light. I traveled through Colombia for two weeks (by plane, taxi, bus, ferry and foot) carrying only my red Day Bag. It fit everything I needed: sandals, two dresses, t-shirt, tank top, shorts, bathing suit, quick dry towel, toiletries, sunglasses, Kindle, and my journal. Oh, and I think I brought a rain jacket too. It was the perfect bag for traveling on a whim -- I didn’t pre-plan my itinerary so I wanted to stay mobile.
